This week was crazy but great!! :) We had a lot of 'different' days like one day was a 'fog/snowy' day so we had to stay in almost ALL day! Another day was a "New Missionary Mtg." that got postponed and so we went the next day, another day we had to take our car in because the air bag light was on which led them to find other things wrong with it which led to a TON of miracles and tender mercies of the Lord all day long SATURDAY!! :) ha It was such a crazy and funny week but AMAZING!!! :) Especially SATURDAY!!! :) Let me tell you what happened.. the Lord's timing is PERFECT!!! :) ...
So we were suppose to take our car in on Thursday but the GREAT New Missionary Mtg. we had got postponed Wed. morning (when we were about to leave for it) to Thursday! ha So we had to change our car appt. to Saturday which turned out being EXACTLY what needed to happen!! :) You will see why... :)
So, Saturday we go to the Chevy Dealership and while we are waiting in the 'lobby' area I felt prompted to tlak to the lady sitting across from us so I gave her a card. Later, I felt REALLY prompted to give her a Book of Mormon (which the Spirit had prompted me to grab real quick before we gave them the car) which led to her being really interested and listening intently as I bore my testimony of the Church and Book of Mormon and how it's blessed my life and my family's life so much! :) She was SUCH a sweet lady and seemed pretty interested! She said she was looking for a church her 2 little boys would like and I was able to tell her how family-oriented and Christ centered the Church is! :) I had her read Moroni 10:4-5 so she would know to read and pray about he Book of Mormon and gave her a Plan of Salvation pamphlet with our phone number and she thanked us! :) So I sat back down across from her and she began to read the Book of Mormon right there! :) She read the WHOLE Introduction part about Joseph Smith and the testimonies and everything and even a part of 1 Nephi while we were there! :) It was so amazing to see!! :) I was praying for her the whole time!! :) It was a marvelous sight!! :) I loved it!! :)
So while I had been talking to her (her name is Edith), Sister Freeman was talking to this other lady that was by us (JeanOlivia) and offered her a pass-along card to which she declined... but later explained she didn't need a card because her SISTER is "Mormon!" and she talks to her about it ALL the time! :) This lady has 2 nephews that are out serving missions right now!! And has other nephews that have already served!! :) She was a SUPER nice lady and very friendly and kind! :) More about her later... :)
While we waited and studied in the 'lobby' the car guy comes up to us and tells us that our steering wheel compartment thing inside has been falling apart! And is not safe to drive! :S They told us they would have to order a part and that it probably wouldn't get there until Tuesday! ha So we were said okay and were looking for who could come and get us to take us back to our apartment?! ha So of course the Lord ALWAYS provides and a LOT of the times in BETTER ways than we had planned or expected! :) So out of the blue, JeanOlivia says, "I can give you a ride home! Or to wherever youineed to go!" :) We thought about it and felt good about it so we said, "Okay, thanks!!!" :) So we waited for her car to be done and while we waited a guy walked by to get something out of the vending machine and we both felt prompted to talk to him.. he started to walk away and when he did he said HI to us!! :) ha So we asked if we could give him a card and he accepted! He looked at the card and said, "Hmm.. I've been thinking about this lately.." :) We ended up giving HIM a Book of Mormon too!! :)
We eventually got everything we needed out of our car and loaded it up into JeanOlivia's and headed home to our apartment with this super sweet lady/angel!! :) She was very fun and talkative and made it seem like it was NO big deal that she was doing all these super kind things for us!! :) She then gave us her number and said if we needed anymore rides ANYWHERE this weekend to call her and she could take us!! :) (SOOO NICE right??! :) I'm still in awe!! ha) We thanked her a ton, got out of car, she drove away and we walked up to our apartment door... and realized... the HOUSE KEY was with our CAR KEYS!!! hahahah!!! SO funny!! :) So we call JeanOlivia again and she just laughed and said she would be there in 2 minutes! :) So she drove us BACK to the car place to get our house key and on the way said it was NO big deal!!
So we get to the dealership again (which was meant to happen :) ) and we pass one of the workers there (that we met the last time we got our car checked and gave a card to) and he came up to us and asked what our phone number was again and said he had a friend that would probably want to meet with us!! :) (a referral from a non-member!!! That is the best kind!! :) ha) So we were way excited about that! Then we walk into the car place and run into a guy that notices our nametags and asks us about our Church and tells us how he was just in a car accident and doesn't know how he survived and why he is still here. He said, "I want/need answers" so we asked him if we could go grab something real quick to give him?! :) He said okay. So we ran back to the car and grabbed a Book of Mormon to give to him and when we did he said, "What is this?!" And we said, "A book of Answers!!" :) We gave him a few other pamphlets too and invited him to church and he CAME!!! :) He still wants to meet with us too! So we will be in contact with him this week! :) His name is Marc!
We then proceeded to go back to the car with JeanOlivia super ASTONISHED at our day thus far at the CAR DEALERSHIP??!!! :) ha (the Lord has his 'prepared' children EVERYWHERE and ANYWHERE!! I have a testimony of that!! It's AMAZING!!! :) ) and we tell JeanOlivia what happened and how amazing it was!! :) She thought so too! :) So then she takes us to LUNCH!!! (before in the car she said, she was actually wondering if we wanted to go to lunch with her??! :) So we, of course, accepted (that's what we were going to go home and do because we hadn't had lunch yet) and she took us to OUTBACK!!! :) Where she got us an appetizer, entree, AND dessert!! (This lady is amazing!!! ha :) ) She was/is SOOOO nice!! :) (It really makes you want to give back more and look for more opportunities to serve and do it!! :) "Observe, then Serve!" :) Pretty sure she's MASTERED that!! :) ha ) So we had a great lunch with her and were actually able to share a message about the Doctrine of Christ with her! :) And she really liked it!! :) She even said, "I think I'm going to read the Book of Mormon again" :) (without us even mentioning that!! -I love the Spirit!! :) ) So after lunch and the lesson we got back in the car and she drove us back home! :)
Can you say AMAZING day and EXPERIENCE???! I'm STILL in shock!! I think I understand the phrase "Exceedingly Astonished" a little more now!! :) ha I am truly in awe at how the Lord works and at how he truly places each of His children in our path PERFECTLY when He knows He can trust us to talk to them and help them come closer to Christ!! :) AMAZING!!!! :) We felt and feel SOOO blessed to be a part of such a miraculous day!! :) But even when you think the Lord is done blessing you with exceedingly great tender mercies and miracles He blesses us with ONE more!! :) ... That night on our way to Stake Conference (the adult session) we got a ride (since our car was now in the shop ha) and we were on our way to pick up another lady who needed a ride and made a 'wrong turn' on a random dirt road and who do we cross paths with??! ONE OF OUR INVESTIGATORS!! :) Bro. Frank!! :) We stopped the car and yelled out "FRANK!!" :) "Hey! Do you want to come to Stake Conference with us right now??!" :) He said he couldn't right now but that he would come to the Sunday session the next day and he DID!!!! (that was his FIRST TIME at CHURCH!!! Hooray!!! :) ) It was an utterly AMAZING day!! :) I loved it!!! :) And I'm sure the Lord LOVED watching us love it!! :) And bless us with it!! :)
I love my Heavenly Father sO much and love His children with all my heart! The Church is true and the Book of Mormon is also! :) I love the gospel and know that it has the power to CHANGE and BLESS lives!!! :) I KNOW that EACH ONE of God's children (including you and me!) are VERY IMPORTANT to the Lord and are of GREAT and INFINITE WORTH in His eyes!! :) (D&C 18:10) What a TRULY MARVELOUS WORK & a WONDER!!! :) The CHURCH of JESUS CHRIST of Latter-day Saints is TRUE!!!! :) It blesses my life EVERY DAY!!!! In EVERY DETAIL of EVERY DAY!!! :) And I love it and KNOW that it can BLESS YOURS just the SAME!!! :) I KNOW these things are true and that the Lord's hand is TRULY in ALLLLL things!!! :) We just each have to be willing and worthy to be the blessed instruments the Lord uses to bless the lives of His children as He blesses yours!! :) I know these things are true and it is by the power of the Holy Ghost which testifies to me the truthfulness of the gospel every day that I strive to live it to fullest! :) "I truly KNOW it. I strive to LIVE it. and I most definitely LOVE it!!!" :) In the name of Jesus Christ, amen. :)
