Hello!! :)
Well this week was fantastic!!! :) Filled with TONS of Miracles and AMAZING NEW People to TEACH!!! :) woo hoo!!! We are SOOOO super grateful!! :)
So first of all.... Ute (the 73 year old German lady "athiest") PRAYED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on PURPOSE!!!!! :D And it was AMAZING!!! :) It was the COOLEST and greatest experience!!! :) Oh my goodness! :) So we went to teach her this past week and we were talking about prayer and other things and We felt that we should pray for her personally right int he middle of the lesson. So we asked her if we could kneed down right then in her living room and say a prayer FOR HER! So we did! :) We asked her what she was grateful for (and she said for US being sent to her in her life! :) ) and what she needed and what questions she had! :) Then we prayed for those needs and concerns. After the prayer she said she would come to Church with us! AND asked what she should read (in the Book of Mormon) for next time?! AND then said the CLOSING PRAYER!!!!!!! and it was a BEAUTFUL prayer!!!!!!!!! After she prayed (which took some time and Spirit led words/actions to help her feel comfortable SAYING it) she said "It's real.. you just have to be willing to GIVE yourself to Him" :D :D INCREDIBLE right?!??! I'm STILL in awe!!!! :D :D :D We could NOT wipe the SMILES off of our faces after that lesson!! :) It was AMAZING!!!!! :D I am SOOOO grateful for our LOVING and MINDFUL Heavenly Father!! He KNOWS and LOVES EACH of His children no matter what!! :) And He ALWAYS wants to hear YOU and Each one of us PRAY to HIM!! :) Always!!! No matter what!!! :) I LOVE what Elder Cornish said in this past Oct. conference (2011) "It is as tragic for someone to think they are too sinful to pray as it is for a sick person to think they are too sick to go to the doctor." No matter WHO you are or WHAT you've done.. PRAY to your Heavenly Father!! He is ALWAYS there and ALWAYS wants to hear from you!! :) no. matter. what! :) He can help you. He WANTS to help you ALWAYS! :) We just have to COME to Him! :) He will never force us. He WANTS to POUR our BlESSINGS upon us SOOO much and just needs us to make the effort (however big or small) to COME to Him and ask!! :) I know this is true! :) I can testify this is true! :) PRAYER WORKS!! :) it IS POWERFUL!!! He ALWAYS Hears and Answers YOUR prayers!! :) And it is the ULTIMATE heart-softener!! :) what a blessing!!! I LOVE PRAYER!!! :) Heavenly Father is the best!! :) I love Him! :)
Another exciting blessing and MIRACLE is we were blessed to get 10 new investigators this week!! (that's the most i've received in one week my WHOLE mission so far!!) it was sOOOO exciting!! :) It was sUCH a blessing too because for a while it seemed that we had sO many investigators that we didn't have enought time to find new/other people to teach too! And then all of a sudden our investigators kept moving and weren't in our area etc. and i was feeling a little worried about finding new investigators to teach and then BLESSING!!! Heavenly Father blesses us with 10 new investigators!! :) I'm still in awe!! :) All He asks is for us to be brave enough to just TALK to ANYONE He prompts you to! And HE will take care of the rest! :) What a blessing! I'm sO gratefuL! :)
Okay.. so here is the story y'all have been waiting for about "The Guys" (Kyle, Kendyl, Alex, and Dylan).. they are our favorite!! :) So here's the story...
One day Sister Pfister and I were in our complex parking lot getting ready to go out and work and we saw these 3 guys walking by and felt like we should talk to them so we did! :) They were about 20-ish and seemed pretty cool :) We talked to them a little about eternal families and happiness and our message and prayed with them. We asked if we could set up a time to come teach them more and they agreed to it! :) So during the week I was at the LTM Sister Pfister and Sister Smith (the one who took my spot for those 4 days) had an INCREDIBLE lesson with them!! :) They all met in our apt. complex lobby and they even brought their friend!! (they are all roommates! :) ) they talked about random questions they had and things they had 'heard about Mormons" and then talked about the Book of Mormon. One of them (Alex) had actually been given a Book of Mormon in the past and READ the WHOLE thing and then didn't know what to do about it?! (his friends who gave him it never told him to PRAY about it! ha) so he just thought hmmm.. well i ddin't really understand it and then moved on with his life.. AND another guy (Dylan) had dated a girl for a while who was "Mormon" and asked her about it and she would never really tell him anything about it!!! (these stories made us SOOO sad!!! ALWAYS be prepared and take advantage of EVERY missionary opportunity you HAVE! fully!! :) No matter how BIG or small it is!! :) You can Change someone's life for the BETTER!! :) "Never underestimate the power of YOUR righteous influence!! ... Any man or woman led by the Spirit of the Lord CAN change the world!!" -Sis. Dalton :) I KNOW that this is true! :) You CAN and you WILL if you follow the Spirit! :) ) So then they talked more about the Book of Mormon and had one sitting on the table in front of them all.. And they said, "You only have ONE Book of Mormon..??" And they said, "Yeah, we have more in the car.. who wants one?" and they ALL raised their hands and said, "We do!! We want to pray about it!!" :D UH-MAZING!!! :) i just LOVE missionary work!!! :) Seriously!! It's experiences like this (and countless others) that make Missionary work SOOO worth it!! :D :D :D We lOVE it!! :) Later we had an AMAZING lesson with Kendyl!! He is sO awesome!! Heavenly Father helped us to see him and 'the guys' the way that He does!! :) It was AMAZING!! They have SOOOO much potential within them!! They can and WILL be and are meant to be VALIANT Sons of our Heavenly Father as they choose to!! :) So pray that they will choose the right!! :) Because we love them! Add their Heavenly Father has a LOT of great things instore for them to DO AND be BLESSED with!! :) If they will just turn their FULL will to His!! :) He WILL help them as they CHOOSE to follow Him more fully! :) They are already great guys and just need help to fully change in the ways the Lord wants and needs them to!! :) We had a couple of other times we got to talk with them (including one time after a lesson with Kendyl we were walking back to our apartments and he was holding a Book of Mormon and we were talking about missions and how boys go when they are 19 and he said, "Hey! I'm 19! I could go on a mission!!" -as he held the Book of Mormon in his hands!! We were like YEAH YOU COULD!! :) hah [pretty sure the is like every missionaries DREAM to have an investigator say that while holding the Book of Mormon!! aaaahhH!! it was sO cool!! These guys would SERIOUSLY be the GREATEST missionaries EVER!!!! aahhh!!! they are sOOO coool!!! :) and have sUch great potenital!! :D :D :D] he said he would want to go to the Philipines!!! :) aahhh! he is seriously so cooL! :)] ) We were also able to give them conference talks and other things to read (it was hard to have more lessons with them because they worked SO much!! and had crazy schedules! And were moving!! So they were trying to earn more money. So we tried our best! :) ) The day they moved was the saddest day ever!!!!!! We were SO sad!! :( We were blessed to find someone in our ward with a truck to help them move! :) And were able to pass them on to the Elders in the area they moved to! :) They. are. INCREDIBLE!!!! :) Please continue to keep them in your prayers!! :) Prayer works!! :) And the Lord can work MIRACLES through our prayers of FAITH!! :) I know He can! :)
Well that's the update on all the super exciting and amazing news and Miracles of a Mission for now! :)
Thank you ALL sOOOO much for ALL your wonderful prayers for Ute and "The Guys" they are working!! :) Keep praying for them (especially since they moved! they have SUCH tremendous and promising potential!) AND pray for Janet! :) thank you SO much!! :) The Lord loves you and sO do I!! :) I love and miss y'all SOOOOO much!!!! :D Thank you for aLLLLLL your prayers, letters, packages, love, support, advice, encouragement, insights, etc.!!! :) I love it ALL!! :) i lOVE hearing from ANY and ALL of you!! :) I hope you have a WONDERFUL day and week!! :) THE CHURCH IS TRUE!!!! :) "Doub [it] Not!!" -D&C 6:36 :) I love you all!! :) Have a GREAT day!! :)
