Hello Everyone!! :)
How are you all??! Well I am doing great!! This week was such a great one!! :) Full of AMAZING things!! and people!! :) Missions are just the best! Even when they are kind of hard they are still the best!! And there is truly no where else I'd rather be!! :) Doing the Lord's work, in the Lord's timing, and in the Lord's way, with the Lord's help is PRICELESS!!! :D :D :D What a WONDERFUL blessing to be involved so fully in so great a cause!! In building up the Lord's kingdom on earth!!! :) :)
So, first of all last P-day (monday) night we had a Specialized training for our Zone on "Hope!" :) It was SUCH a GREAT training!!! :) i LOVED it!!! :) We wrote down all of our hopes (righteous goals/desires/dreams) for our mission and lives and how our hopes can become reality and how Heavenly Father provides the way for them to be! :) It was SO great!! :) I learned a lot and felt the Spirit greatly, it was wonderful! :)
Then after the training i DROVE for the FIRST TIME in 6 MONTHS!!!!! hahah It was crazy!! :) Sister Ewell and i got to go on Exchanges with eachother so i could practice being "the Senior" and dRiViNg and taking over an area etc.!!! It was awesome!! :) Best Exchange EVER!!! :) I seriously LOVE Sister Ewell!! :) She makes me so happy and is just the sweetest person ever and such a hard-working, obedient, and GREAT missionary!! :) love her!! So i drove us home from the Church and Heavenly Father blessed us to do so in safety!! :) ha So the Exchange was INCREDIBLE and a really fun and happy and spiritual day! :) We were blessed with a really cool "Heavenly Gift" experience (where we offer a prayer/blessing on the home and family of the doors we knock on etc.) !!
This is what happened.. so we were out visiting a few less-actives before lunch and we felt like we should go to this one less-active's house, so we did. When we got there we saw two ladies outside so we decided to go and talk to the one that was getting in her car to leave. She was super nice and we gave her a card and told her about eternal families (she had a cute little girl with her) and she seemed grateful. :) Then we knocked on the less-active's door and they weren't home. So we thought (smallest prompting) we should go and try the other lady that we saw outside and go knock on her door, so that's what we did. :) And what a blessing and prompting of the Spirit that we did! :) .. We knocked and a little boy answered so he went on got his grandma (the lady). She came to the door and we introduced ourselves as "Representatives of Jesus Christ" and offered her the "Heavenly Gift." She said we could come in and pray with them and then told us how a bunch of her family are LDS and go to the temple but that she goes to the "people's church" (non-denominational). We talked to her a little bit about our common beliefs and what we believe and then met all of her grandchildren (there were about 6-7 of them) that were there. We then asked if we could all kneel down together and say a prayer with them! :) So us, this grandma (Donna), and ALL of her grandchildren all KNELT DOWN in a circle in the living room and Sis. Ewell offered a beautiful prayer! It was amazing!! and you could feel the Spirit!! :) We talked to her a little more after and she said she would get our number and call us if she became more interested. (we also told her we could come and do service for her- yardwork or housework etc.- she seemed pretty excited and slightly shocked about that! :) hah) She thanked us a lot for coming over and said "It made her day!" :) :) :) Which of course made OUR day!! :) ha It was so wonderful and I am very grateful for the sweet experience we had with her and all of her sweet grandchildren! :) I LOVE the Heavenly Gift!!! :) I love being able to OFFER people a blessing for THEM and THEIR lives!! :) Because that is why we are out here!! For OTHER people and to bring THEM the JOY this true and restored gospel of Jesus Christ offers us!!! :) I love it!! :) So it was just a great day and we were super grateful for that awesome experience!! :) (it was the first time i was ever invited in too!! doing the "Heavenly Gift"! :) it was so great!! :) )
The next day (Wednesday) We had a "New Trainer's Meeting" given by Pres. Taylor to all the missionaries that are training this next transfer!! And it was INCREDIBLE!!! I just lOvE Pres. Taylor and his A.P's!! They are all so inspired and full of the Spirit! It was a great training! :) I also found out that the new Sister that is coming isn't the one from the islands like we thought! She is an English-speaking Sister (slight Whew! ha) and is from Utah! :) So the one that is training the Sister from the Islands is actually her FRIEND that is from the SAME island!! (Sister Esau!! -she's great!) So I think that is SOOO cool that BOTH of them (good friends from home) got called to the SAME mission in OKC and get to be COMPS. together!!! :) SOOO cool!! :) So that will be fun for them!! :) I was told to the new Sister that I'm training is Sister Fister! :) So i will meet her on Wednesday! :) Keep us all in your prayers!! :) thank you!!! :) So the training was great and we talked about the words in the hymn, "Teach Me to Walk in the Light" (#304) and how it applies so perfectly to us training a new missionary!! :) it was cool! :) We talked about a lot of other stuff too and i loved it! :)
Another cool thing that happened this week (Thurs. -see i told you it was a cool/great week!! :) hah) was a lady (in her 70's) we have been teaching who is from Germany named Ute ("Uda") who says she is an "athiest" .. PRAYED!!!!! :D she PRAYED!!! and it was sOOO awesome!! :) When she closed her prayer she sat there and said, "I feel weird.." (aka she was feeling the Spirit for one of the first times that she REcOgNiZeD!! :) ) and she said, "It feels like a commitment.." :) ha it was so funny and so awesome!! :) She FELT the SPIRIT!! and we could TOO!! as she prayed! :) it was awesome! :) I love the Sprit and i love PRAYER!!! :) it is sOOO powerful!!! even from a sweet old lady who says she doesn't believe in God because deep down we know she really does!! And Heavenly Father loves her so much!! :) He loves EACH one of us and will ALWAYS listen and answer our prayers!! :) what a blessing!!! :) I love Heavenly Father!! :) He is the best!!! and loves each of us SOOO much!!! even when we mess up and aren't 'perfect' since none of us are 'perfect!' :) I'm SOOO grateful for a loving Heavenly Father who loves us despite our weaknesses and just asks us to keep trying!! :) "You've never failed until you stop trying!!" :)
And last but certainly NOT least!!!... TATIANA was BAPTIZED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D yay!!!!! oh my goodness what a WONDERFUL baptism it was!!! the Spirit was sO strong and it was just an INCREDIBLE experience for her and for us all!!!! :) Tatiana is an AMAZING and precious/choice daughter of God and she will do SUCH great things as she continues to stay close to Heavenly Father and do what is right (as will we all!) !! :) She's amazing!!! :)
Well that pretty much sums up our AMAZING week!! :) It was full of blessings and wonderful moments! :) I am TRULY grateful!! :) I hope ALL of you are doing AMAZINGLY!!!! I love and miss you SOOO much!! Thank you for ALL of your love, prayers, and support, and encouragement!! :) you are the best!! :) have a wonderful and blessed day and week!! :) Heavenly Father and your Savior love you!!! And only want what's TRULY best for you and will bring you the greatest happiness in your life NOW and in the life to come as you do what He says, and "Come Follow [Him]!!" :) I testify that this is true!! :) The Gospel and the Church is true and i love you!! :)
Love, Sister Carlini :)
ps. Qof W: "God doesn't call the equipped, He equips the called!!" :)
AND "The Journey is just as important (if not more important) than the Destination!" :) (idk if i already said that one?? but it's a good one! :) and so true! :) ) have a great day!! :) i love you!!!!! Thanks for everything!!! :)
