Hey everyone!! :)
So i just barely sent a TON of pictures!! (since i couldn't do that in the MTC) so sorry for the picture OVERLOAD! ha i still have more to catch up with next week (but i'm runnin out of time on my comp! so i'll have to send the rest next week! :) ) Anyways! Well since i missed my p-day last week i have a TON to catch you all up on!! First of all, the MTC was and is AMAZING!! i miss it!! The friday before i left we had an "In-field Orientation" which was all day long with different classes and workshops (with teachers from "The District 2" videos!) and it was wAy fun and like my favorite day in the MTC! i lOvEd it and learned a ton!! :) Then me and my district sang that Sunday at church since we were leavin that comin week! We sang "A Child's Prayer" :) Tuesday morning we had to be at the travel office at 4 AM!! ha and our flight left at 7:30am to Denver and then we flew from Denver to OKC! :) WhAt a cRAzY and AMAZING day tueday was!!! On the plane ride from Denver to OKC Heavenly Father decided to bless me and Sister Ewell with a MIRACLE and the best experience ever!! :) Our assigned seats were at the vErY back of the plane and when we got there there was a cute teenage girl sitting there. So we got in our seats and started talking to her and getting to know her! :) She is a wAy sweet and fun girl! i just loved her! We (of course) eventually started talking about religion and if she knew any Mormons and stuff like that or if she knew about our religion and she knew a few things so we explained more and i asked her what her beliefs (as a Lutherine) were. We found our common belief of Jesus Christ and we built upon that! :) We asked and taught her about the Book of Mormon, general conference/prophets, and about the Restoration/First Vision. it was AMAZINGGGG!!!! :D She was so open to all we told her and she is sUch a strong believer of Christ it was incredible! I showed her my conf. Ensign and told her she could have it! :) She was excited and started reading it while we were on the plane and really liked it! We also asked her if she would be interested in gettin a copy of the Book of Mormon herself (we had her read a little bit of it on the plane too)! and she said, "I would actually lOVE that!" :) (ummm.. TENDER MERCY/MIRACLE!! :) ) So we were wAY excited!! And got her information and told her some other missionaries would bring her one in the next couple days! Then the plane landed, and we said how grateful we were to meet her and how excited we were for her! She was the sweetest girl and said the same! :) it was TRULY a miracle and the Lord's hand was COMPLETELY in all of that i lOVEd it!! and I'm sO grateful for the amazing experience/opportunity the Lord blessed me with! He definitely knew i needed that!! :) So basically i've decided since the MTC was the "TMC" the Mission Field is now the "Miracle Field!" :) ha Once we got off the plane and went throught the airport we met our AMAZING Mission President and his super sweet wife!! I LOVE them both SO much!! They are awesome! :) We all went to their house to have lunch and get to know everyone (the A.P's etc.) and had an awesome (and way tiring ha) day! :) The next day was TRANSFERS! where we were going to get our new companions!! We all met up at the Church and had a little lesson/meeting and i got my new comp. Sister Draper!! She is the best!! i love her!! what a blessing!! :) She's from SLC and has been out for 10 months! She's my trainer and it has been so fun getting to know her and serve with her this past week! Transfers was wAy fun because i got to meet sooo many other missionaries and they are all wAy awesome!! i love it! :) Then we headed to my first area which is Stillwater! :) We live in a really cute little yellow house and i love it!! we also have a car which is way nice! (and just so ashlee knows it is a silver toyota corolla '09! :) hah -i found out just for her! ha) and it way cute! So basically this week we have tracted, taught lessons, had meetings, dinner EVERY night at a member's homes ha, and got a new investigator named Laura! :) It's been a pretty productive week! i lOVE study time in the morning! it's my favorite! ALSO i have had my official FIRST biking experience in a skirt on a mission! and what an experience that was!! haha first of all leggins are a mUST i was FREEZING!! hah but it was so funny, i can only imagine what we must look like to people with our skirts, leggings, helmets, etc! hah but i don't care it's great! :) hah Needless to say it's not my fav. thing to do but it's actually not as hard in a skirt as i thought! ha Mainly the cold weather and carrying my bag is the unfun part! ha but it was a good experience AND the Lord blessed us because as we were riding home from District Meeting two girls rolled down the car window and said, "Hi Sisters!! :)" and waved! TENDER MERCY!! Heavenly Father definitely knew i needed that! It made biking a lot better! :) ha Anyways yesterday we had church and it was great! :) We have the bEsT bishop, Bishop Austin!! Holy cow he is sOOO helpful!! and sOOO nice to us! I'm so grateful! And of course they asked me to speak! ha at first it was just to bear my testimony but then a speaker didn't show up so they said actually can you give a talk?! hah I knEw i should've brought one of my talks!! ha but it's all good I prayed to know what to say and went up and talked about the "Inviting Others to RSVP" and different stuff and bore my testimony! Thank goodness, Heavenly Father answers prayers! :) And the rest of church/Sunday was great! So now i'm at the library emailing you on this lOvEly p-day (which is now on Mondays)! and i'm excited for today! We have a lot of fun stuff we are doin and a couple teaching appts. later today! AND my friend Christina (who served my same mission) is HERE!! and she got permission to see me!! So yay! i will see her today too! :) Well i love you all SOOOOO much!! Sorry this email is SOOO long!! I had so much to catch you up on!! Keep praying for the missionaries and the wonderful people! :) Thank you for ALL you do and for all your prayers!! I love you! have a great day!! and share the gospel !! :)
Love, Sister Carlini
